GIVING THANKS
While 2020 has seen its share of hard times for us all, we still have much to be thankful for. This year we celebrated our 49th Anniversary, and we are very thankful for the support of our Tampa Bay community! There have been many challenges, but we have been able to achieve some great new accomplishments at WCBL.
To being, we added new technology by implementing CAD CAM scanners and a 7-axis carving system robot. Then, we brought new team members on board, see “Behind the Scenes” below. Next, we increased our fabrication lab space, in addition to implementing a Six Sigma process to improve function and streamline efficiency. Our practitioners and lab technicians have also worked together to bring new materials into our inventory. Additionally, our pediatric cranial service is now part of the Orthomerica All-Star team.
All of these additions and achievements mean one thing, our dedication to providing unsurpassed orthotic and prosthetic care to every single one of our patients is stronger than ever. After all, our patients are at the heart of everything we do. Without them, we would not be here and because of them, we are here! As a leader in the Orthotics and Prosthetics industry, our core vision remains: Restoring Bodies. Rebuilding Lives.
WCBL Behind the Scenes
Despite the difficulties 2020 has presented, we have remained true and steadfast in our commitment to our patients and medical partners, to offer outstanding service. In order to do this, we found ourselves needing to grow our team. Subsequently, we have had growth in just about every department this year; from central fabrication, to administration, to HR, but none more so than our team of practitioners. This year we welcomed six new practitioners and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Each of them brings with them outstanding experience and fresh new ideas that add value and new dynamics to our team. As a result, we are able to offer a better and more well-rounded experience for our patients.
At WCBL, we are committed to building an encouraging, caring, and supportive environment. With this in mind, we drive forward as a team toward our shared mission, collaborating and celebrating. We do this by relentlessly focusing on our patient’s success, building high quality orthotic and prosthetic devices, and always planning for the future.
