Westcoast Brace & Limb is a leader in the development of custom made and cutting edge orthotic and prosthetic devices. For more than 50 years, we have provided unparalleled patient care and quality service. Our expertise and ability to provide patients with a one of a kind, fully in-house experience, sets us apart from other facilities. Westcoast Brace & Limb is truly a destination for patients across the nation.

From the moment you contact us, our team is ready to assist you. Our state of the art technology and fabrication lab allow us to prepare for your visit before you ever step foot in our office. We utilize a team approach to patient care, maintaining close relationships with physicians, therapists, case managers and hospitals. We believe the entire healthcare team should support our patients’ goals for recovery and beyond. When you’re ready to choose your ultimate O & P care destination, we’ll be here to support your journey from start to finish.

Once you make contact with us, a highly trained member of our team will be in touch to ask you a few questions and provide you with more information regarding our process. If you are interested in proceeding further, a virtual Telehealth visit will be scheduled with one of our expert practitioners.

You will have an initial visit online with a practitioner who is an expert in the area of prosthetics or orthotics you have contacted us for.

Your Telehealth visit will consist of a full virtual evaluation, so you will need to have access to the internet via phone, tablet, or computer.

Upon completion of your Telehealth visit and confirmation that you would like to proceed with your treatment at WCBL, we will begin the authorization process. Our experienced insurance specialists will gather all required information and keep you informed every step of the way.

An authorization request will be submitted to your insurance company once we have received current physician notes and a signed statement of medical necessity from your doctor. We will answer any questions you may have and provide you with support, help and guidance. If that initial authorization is denied, our team is well versed on handling the appeals process and has a very high success rate at achieving approval through this process.

It is important that you understand that while our team has extensive experience working with insurance companies, your relationship with your insurer is crucial.

We will help with authorization for your prosthetic care, but we need your help along the way as well. Working together to advocate for your care, typically leads to the next outcomes. In our experience, patients who successfully receive insurance authorization are those who actively participate in the approval process. That may include; making phone calls, writing letters and educating yourself on your rights.

These are all actions that our authorization team can guide you through.

Our team will gladly assist you with ensuring you have all the information needed to schedule your in-office visit with us. Our office is a short 15 minute drive from Tampa International Airport, consistently voted one of America’s Favorite Airports. We will provide helpful airport guidance and information and local transportation information.

We will provide you with multiple hotel options located within a few minutes from our office, many of which we have discount rates with.

Every patient and their needs are unique and are treated as such. During your visit, your custom device fabrication will be expedited and completed in the most timely manner possible. Each step, from casting/scanning to final delivery,  will vary slightly depending on your specific needs and type of device. A more specific timeline will be discussed with you prior to your in-person visit.
