STARscanner™

NOTE: There is no radiation in the scanning process.

The STARscanner™ enables us to obtain a digital image of the baby’s head from which we can create a mold without having to make a plaster cast of a child’s head. Once the ‘eye safe’ scan is acquired, CAD/CAM technology is used to convert the image into a three-dimensional model of the baby’s head. The model then is used for fabrication of the cranial orthosis.
