Beside You,
Every Step Of The Way

Westcoast Brace & Limb recognizes a need that goes beyond just fitting our patients with their prostheses.  For us, it’s about treating the whole person.

Our unique network of support addresses the psychosocial needs of our patients and encourages them to thrive.  Several Westcoast Brace & Limb staff members are amputees themselves and are passionate about providing amputee peer support to our clients.  Among them is Jennifer Robinson, our Lead Amputee Case Manager, who has utilized an above knee prosthesis since she was a toddler.  Jennifer has been with Westcoast Brace & Limb for over 11 years.  Her administrative expertise and personal bond with each patient is a key component to our standard of care.

Our entire Amputee Case Management team is committed to making the prosthetic rehabilitation process for each patient emotionally positive and successful.

The Amputee Case Manager works closely with the patient throughout the fitting process, and beyond. This includes verifying medical clearance, communicating closely with all involved healthcare professionals, obtaining insurance authorization, arranging care, and ensuring proper follow-up. The Amputee Case Manager also provides information on additional Westcoast Brace & Limb services, such as one-on-one Amputee Peer Visitations and assistance with social services.

We know it’s important for new amputees, or anyone struggling with limb loss, to meet others who have experienced similar situations. That’s why we provide plenty of opportunities for our clients to get involved with others in the limb loss community. Amputees Together of Florida, Inc. is an amputee support group, which was created by Westcoast Brace & Limb in the early 1980’s. This group meets monthly in both Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.  The support group is available to Westcoast Brace & Limb patients as well as to any amputee, their loved ones and caregivers.
