This is event is for all levels of abilities. 



Jennifer A. Day, CTRS, CBIS and Jennifer A. Day, CTRS, will be there as therapists.


There will be a swim coach for beginners and Intermediate level swimmers.


 
Possibly a Para-triathlon Coach for intermediate to advanced swimmers.
 

There will be no CEU credits for staff since event is only for participants.


 
Depending on the individuals need there will be floats, paddles etc, available.

Pediatric Orthotic Overview focuses on the various types of orthotics available for pediatric patients, including idiopathic scoliosis, spina bifida, cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular and orthopedic disorders. Case studies help to teach appropriate bracing needs for each.

Prosthetic Protocols for Pre/Post Amputation and Wound Care and Efficacy
	
2 credits, at Westcoast Brace & Limb North Tampa



Prosthetic Protocols as they Pertain to Pre/Post-Amputation Rehabilitation focuses on when and how to implement pre-prosthetic consultations and rehabilitation. It also discusses the various post-amputation procedures including the WLP (Westcoast Limb Protector™), RRDs, IPOPs, EPOPs, temporary prostheses and the Westcoast Amputee Peer Visitation Program.



Wound Care and the Efficacy of Orthotic Managementdiscusses how to identify the proper type of orthotic management to aid in the wound-healing process. This course covers edema management, off-loading shoes and boots, protective footwear, CROWs and AFOs.

(Saturday AM in South Tampa off-site location) 4 hours and 4 credits



Advancements in Prosthetic Technology for the Lower Limb educates medical professionals about the various types of lower-extremity prostheses and advanced technologies such as microprocessor knees and ankles, as well as the Compas™, Galileo™, and Smart Pyramid™ systems.



Interface Socket Designs and Prosthetic Gait Deviations educates medical professionals about types of interface designs, prosthetic alignments and how they affect gait training.
