I am very new to all of this and I see that it is going to be overwhelming. I now have use of both legs but in 3 weeks They are wanting to amputate my right leg over at the moffit center in Tampa, Fl. due to cancer. Just dealing with that is overwhelming, but for now I am trying to get ahead of things by trying to find the best way to go about finding out what my insurance company will pay and where and what to buy as a first prosthetic, who to go to and what all this is going to cost us. if there is any out side help that I can serch for.
I am working full time now but when I go out to have all this done I will not recive any pay or benifits, I have no short term disability. I am trying to figure out how to keep this from devastating my family. I am not sure where to start with all of this or what to ask as far as questions but Im trying to find out what kind of time in the hostpital I will be looking at what kind of time for reabilitation, All of the unknow, this is more scarry then getting my leg amputated. Im not sure where to go from here any thing that you may sugest is more then welcomed at this point in my life. Thank you for listening.

Having had a family friend pass on from a brain tumor at only 25 years of age, what you and your team are doing to help Miles for Hope raise money is amazing!! I hope many others follow both your and your team’s lead in supporting such a wonderful cause!!! Also, way to go on the 50K!! That is definitely no small feat especially on a handcycle!! Incredible!
